A bit about me

I’m a UX Designer by trade with a love for making music, baking bread, and riding waves.

How did I get here?

Careers aren’t always linear, and mine definitely hasn’t been. There was a lot that lead to my career in UX and Product Design. Check it out below.

2017

Graduated with a BA in Communications Arts from Western State Colorado University.

2018

Began working at Tender Care Learning Center as an Assistant Teacher in Pittsburgh, PA.

2019

Promoted to Lead Teacher of my classroom.

2020

Began earning pre-requisite credits for the Nutrition and Dietetics master’s program at the University of Pittsburgh.

A public health crisis causes me to shift from teaching to starting my own childcare business during my studies.

2021

I complete my prerequisites and am accepted into the University of Pittsburgh master’s program, but decline due to finances.

2022

I move to San Diego in January, and am introduced to UX Design by friends working in the field.

I begin a UX Design & Research bootcamp at Springboard in April.

2023

I complete my bootcamp and internship in early January, and begin freelancing.

I learn about designing real products & working on teams while I develop my skills through freelance gigs.

2024

Freelancing becomes a full-blown UX consultancy as I take on more projects and continue to learn.

2025

I continue consulting and working on Community by Design while aiming to land a full time UX role with a great company.
